To learn an instrument comes with a wealth of possibilities. Playing music is just the start of what living life with a creative pursuit can offer. John’s approach to piano study is recognizing that the instrument is not only a vehicle for creative expression, but it is a rich mechanism for understanding ourselves and developing our own creative voice within our lives. John’s approach is highly applicable to both the adolescent and adult student alike.
With over 15 years of teaching experience, John’s teaching method, Self Imitation Through Imaginative Projection, trains indivisuals on how to become their own teachers through examining their attention and life. This method enhances the creative mind while allowing one to learn simultaneously. This is done by simply changing the way one pays attention to the act of learning. You will not simply learn how to play, compose, listen, or think creatively. You can develop into the artist of your own life.

Monthly 45 minute sessions(4 per month): $300
Monthly 60 minute sessions(4 per month): $400
Single 45 minute appointment: $75
Single 60 minute appointment: $100
For piano instruction, John does not take anyone under the age of 12 unless they have had previous training.
