Inspired by the overlap of music, philosophy, and cognitive science, Classical Ink is devoted to pushing the boundaries of creative thinking and expression through the medium of music; both in the act of attention directed listening and in the constant development of mastering an embodied skill.

John M. Churchill is a pianist, composer, philosopher, and educator. His philosophical research explores the intersection of music and the direct experience of the mind via our reactive emotions.

As a composer, he is devoted to a lifetime of learning from music as both the perceiver of its theoretical secrets within the plethora of emotional experiences as well as getting to be the expressive creator of the music itself.

As an educator, John is devoted to mentoring students on how to hone their attention. Being a high-functioning autistic with ADHD and dyspraxia, John has a unique window into learning differences and the importance of our attention when learning an embodied skill. His method is called Self Imitation Through Imaginative Projection.

He lives in Austin, Texas.
